Heat pressing
6 questionsWhat temperature should I use to apply my DTF transfer?
Set your heat press to 130–150°C when applying our DTF transfers.
How long should I press the transfer?
Press the transfer for 7–10 seconds at 130–150°C.
How much pressure should I use?
Use medium to firm pressure so the transfer makes even contact with the fabric.
Should I peel the film while it is hot, warm or cold?
Peel the film while it is warm. Let it cool slightly after pressing, then carefully peel it away from the fabric.
Do I need to press the design a second time?
Yes. After peeling away the film, press the design again for 3–5 seconds to help secure the transfer to the fabric.
What materials can your transfers be applied to?
Check your chosen garment and follow the application instructions supplied with the transfer. Use a sample to test the fabric before ordering for a larger run.
Artwork & files
5 questionsWhich file formats can I upload?
Upload a PNG with a transparent background or a print-ready PDF. We also accept AI, EPS, SVG, PSD and TIFF artwork. For multiple files, you can upload a ZIP archive.
Should I upload my artwork in RGB or CMYK?
Use CMYK artwork where your chosen file format supports it. RGB artwork is automatically converted to CMYK for printing, which can make some colours appear darker or lighter than they do on screen.
What resolution should my artwork be?
For good print quality, supply artwork at a minimum of 300 DPI at the final size you want it printed. Enlarging a small, low-resolution image will not improve its quality.
Does my artwork need a transparent background?
Yes. Remove any background you do not want printed and upload your design with a transparent background. A white or coloured background left in the artwork will be printed as part of the design.
I have lots of files — do I need to upload them one by one?
No. You can upload a ZIP file containing all your artwork, or provide a WeTransfer link when ordering.
Washing & care
3 questionsHow should I wash a garment with a DTF print?
Turn the garment inside out before putting it in the washing machine. This helps protect the print from rubbing against the drum, metal fastenings and other clothes during the wash.
Can I rub or scrub the printed area?
Avoid rubbing or scrubbing the print directly. Treat the printed area gently when washing or removing marks to help protect the design.
Can I tumble dry a garment with a DTF print?
No. Do not tumble dry garments with DTF prints. The dryer’s heat can loosen the transfer from the fabric. Leave the garment to air dry instead.
Transfer storage
1 questionHow long can I keep transfers after opening the packaging?
Use unpacked transfers within 30 days when they are exposed to air. Keep unused transfers sealed in their packaging until you need them.

Our DTF Metre Gang Sheets measure 1000 × 560mm. You can fit multiple designs and sizes onto one sheet to make the most of the printable space.
Are there limitations on design size or complexity?
DTF can reproduce intricate details and gradients. Our gang sheets give you a 1000 × 560mm printable area to arrange your designs.
Can I try a transfer before a larger order?
You can order a DTF sample pack through the website to check the print and application on your chosen garment before preparing a larger order.
Do you offer next-day shipping?
Yes. Order before 11:00am Monday–Friday for same-day dispatch on up to 50 metres. Express next-day delivery is available at checkout.
